In cosmetics production, mistakes happen from time to time, resulting in faulty batches. Typically, these batches then have to be destroyed, which entails quite a bit of expense and is, of course, unsustainable. Tojo Cosmetics offers a process for reprocessing faulty batches that still results in a quality product through slight nuances.

Here are some steps that are typically taken when reprocessing faulty batches:

• Once the defective batch is identified, the defect is analyzed and evaluated. This includes determining the severity of the defect, the potential impact on stability and the possible solutions.
• Troubleshooting and repair: if the defect can be resolved, the remanufacturing of the defective batch may include repair or replacement of the defective part or product. This can be done in collaboration with customers or by the manufacturer itself.

Here Tojo Cosmetics has developed various options, for example, to effectively mask a secondary odor, developed stabilizers that efficiently fix an oil or water separation, or even derive a completely new product from it with additional active ingredients.
